My E-Wellness Business

I started looking round for a challenge in this new world of isolation (not that it will last forever). I decided on my E-Wellness business.

What is it?

We partner with a company that manufactures, markets and sells a wide range of consumer products that we all use daily in our households. The company was founded in the the USA over 30 years ago, with a range of products based on the antibacterial and health benefits of Australian botanicals. Some products are manufactured in Australia and orders are dispatched from our Melbourne headquarters. The company went on to research, develop, manufacture and sell a wide range of nutritional, pharmaceutical, personal care, and household cleaning products. It has grown into a progressive, successful, international business with over $2 billion in annual revenue.

Why choose this business?

The business model is not MLM (multi-level marketing). It is a real company that researches, manufactures and delivers real products to satisfied customers. The majority of customers are happy to buy good quality, natural, eco-friendly products are very competitive prices, delivered to the door. 96% of customers continue to order and use their products every month.

For those who are looking to create a business with continuing income, the opportunity is available, but it is by no means an essential objective for the company.

We have been using (almost) the full range of cleaning, personal care and other products now for over five years, since we were introduced by a neighbour.

I’m a convert. I just do not shop “the centre aisles” at the supermarket any more. I have found the products to be excellent quality, economical and, best of all, they are delivered to my door every month. I’m in the routine of adding things to my online shopping list as needed and them press the button early in the month. (I’m a sucker for the free gifts for ordering early).

The company is a responsible, ethical company with ethical products. Its product philosophy is to produce products that are as natural as possible whilst being safe, effective, affordable and eco-friendly. There are no dangerous chemicals such as formaldehyde, chlorine bleaches, parabens or poisons. Cleaning products can be safely used with septic systems. In fact (using user tips) we stopped using poisons in the home for pest control. We have found that the natural ingredients used in the cleaning products deter cockroaches and ants without the need for poisons inside the home. There are no "child-proof" caps, because the products (even dishwasher) are not toxic.

The company has become the world leader in making eco-friendly products. Concentrating products, reduces the size of everything in the supply chain. Less storage, fewer storage tanks, smaller warehouses, a smaller footprint, fewer trucks, fewer trips, less cardboard used in shipping boxes, less fuel, dramatically less greenhouse emissions, and most of all less virgin plastic is used in the first place. I can testify that I have not replaced a spray bottle in five years. How many would have ended up in landfill, or worse?

The company is financially stable. With a long history of renovating vacant buildings and only engaging in new construction when the project can be paid for in cash, the company moved into its new global headquarters in 2014.

From a business perspective, whilst I don’t have to carry stock or deliver to customers, I can still access a wide range of excellent products that I can personally recommend, backed up by a detailed business plan and excellent advice and mentoring.

We have always enjoyed helping people to realise their potential. We enjoyed being the grease in the family wheels, for decades hosting all the family celebrations and caring for family and friends. We dance, teach and organise Argentine Tango in our region to bring the joy of the dance to the community. Around 2000 we founded a charity for underprivileged children in Argentina in order to pay down some of the debt we owe for the joy we have derived from this wonderful slice of Argentine culture.

My E-Wellness business suits me well. I can work my own hours in the knowledge that I can offer ethical products that are safe, effective, affordable and responsible. That kind of honesty is important to me.

I feel that I am contributing to people’s lives in a positive way.
